Moderation
Vantry gives a Discord server the moderation tools a growing community runs out of patience without: every action recorded as a numbered case, punishments that end by themselves, and a log channel that shows who did what and why.
Numbered mod cases
Warns, kicks, bans, timeouts and purges are each recorded as a case with a per-server number, the moderator, the reason and the duration. Case numbers are allocated atomically, so two moderators acting in the same second never get the same number — the number is the thing people quote at each other, and duplicates make it meaningless.
Timed punishments that survive a restart
A seven-day ban is stored with its expiry rather than held in memory, so restarting the bot never turns a temporary ban into a permanent one. Anything that came due while the bot was down is lifted on the next sweep.
Corrections that are visible
Editing a case reason edits the message that announced it, rather than adding a correction underneath. A mod log where the first version of a reason stays visible forever is one nobody trusts the corrections in.
Anti-raid and anti-spam
Join spikes trigger a lockdown; message floods are timed out automatically. Both have thresholds you set rather than ones Vantry decides for you.
Per-member history
One page per member showing every case against them, staff notes other moderators can see, running punishments, and how long they have been in the server.
